Five years after the release of the first Japanese diver's watch in 1965 , Seiko released the 1970 Mechanical Divers, which further improved the characteristics of the diver's watch. From 1974 to 1976 , Naomi Uemura's 12,000km dog sled trip in the Arctic Circle proved its high reliability in harsh environments.

One of Mr. Uemura's achievements is the feat that shines in the history of adventure, being the first in the world to climb the highest peaks of the five continents.

By the age of 29, he had climbed Mont Blanc, Kilimanjaro and Aconcagua. In 1970, he became the first Japanese climber to reach the summit of Mount Everest. In just three months, he successfully climbed McKinley (now Denali).

This work is a modern arrangement of the " 1970 Mechanical Divers" that was Naomi Uemura's partner, and is a model that celebrates the summit of Mont Blanc, which was the first step in the challenge of climbing the highest peak on the five continents. The majestic view of Mont Blanc that Mr. Uemura would have seen with his own eyes has been recreated from the same climbing route. The mountains of Montblanc drawn on the dial are etched and stamped to create a three-dimensional representation of the dignified and beautiful mountains. The thick and dignified indexes and hands are coated with Lumibrite to enhance visibility in the dark.
